Brandon
Owns a Medium-Sized Manufacturing business and employs 30 people.
Brandon has been contracting with an outside “company for his IT service and isn’t happy with their performance.” He wants more timely support and wants to stop using his Exchange server and move to “a less expensive and more flexible email system.”
CDO set Brandon up with an Microsoft Office 365 Cloud email system that is more secure, less expensive, and more flexible than upgrading or replacing his email exchange server. We also setup SOLID on his domain server to check for updates, backups and maintenance 24 hours per day. We found that Brandon had a good on-premise backup and expanded that to an economical Cloud Backup of his most important and confidential customer and business data. Brandon’s IT problems are now handled in a timely manner through SOLID’s a la carte of Remote and Automated Service and In Person Service as the situation dictates.
Jennifer
Has a small dental practice with 5 employees.
Jennifer has been struggling to make her dental practice’s IT infrastructure work. Between complying with HIPAA standards and making sure her client’s information is safe and secure, it’s difficult for small business owners to keep up.
CDO setup a HIPAA compliant firewall router to make sure that all the confidential customer data is safe and secure. This firewall router also allows Jennifer to securely remote into her office computer from home. Jennifer was using free antivirus software on her data server and her office workstations. We installed a cost effective and much more secure commercial grade antivirus for her server and workstations. Lastly, we found that Jennifer did not have a backup of her critical customer and office files. We set up a good on-premise backup for this information and Jennifer is planning on implementing a Cloud Backup too in the near future.
Bob
Has a well established accounting firm employing 12 people.
Bob’s firm has been in business for over 20 years now and in that time he has seen his industry’s transition to nearly total digital record keeping. He has also seen some of his colleague firms IT networks fall prey to viruses and ransomware that nearly wiped them out. “Bob also wanted to be able to access him computer from home in the evenings and on weekends.”
CDO setup a VPN Router on Bob’s network to keep his digital records safe and secure from hacking and other attacks. Bob now was able to securely remote in from home using the VPN router. We also upgraded Bob’s antivirus to a more secure commercial grade version to help protect his network and data from ransomware and other types of viruses. This antivirus also has antispyware and antispam software which decreases the amount of spyware and spam he received each day. We found that Bob’s on-premise backup was not working because the external hard drive had died and nobody was monitoring it. We setup a new on-premise backup, setup SOLID to monitor for updates, backups and maintenance 24 hours per day. Lastly, we setup a secure Cloud Backup for his critical files in case his on-premise backup ever failed or was compromised.
